Key West Chicken

Ingredients
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Directions
1 In a shallow medium dish, blend soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, lime juice and garlic. Place chicken breast halves into the mixture. Marinate in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes.
2 Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.
3 Place marinated chicken on the prepared grill. Cook 6 to 8 minutes on each side, until meat is no longer pink and juices run clear. Detailed Nutrition for Key West Chicken

Key West Grilled Chicken

4 to 6 Servings

1-1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Place the chicken in a shallow dish; set aside. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; mix well and pour over the chicken. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour, turning occasionally. Preheat a barbecue grill. Cook the chicken over medium heat for about 10 minutes per side, or until tender and no pink remains. Discard excess marinade.

NOTE: This is great made in the broiler, too!

Key West Chicken Broil

2 pound boned chicken breasts, sliced into 2" x 1" pieces
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon water
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp coarsely cracked black pepper
1/2 tsp ground red hot pepper flakes
1/2 tsp basil
2 cups cooked white or brown rice

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Mix honey with water to thin. In a large glass bowl combine honey with all other ingredients except chicken. Add in chicken pieces and coat well so that all pieces are covered, then bake for about 25 minutes, or until pieces are thoroughly cooked, but be careful not to overcook.

Remove pieces to broiler coated with aluminum foil. Broil until golden brown for about 3-4 minutes.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve over white or brown rice with a leafy green salad.

Serves 4

Key Lime Margarita Grilled Chicken

4 boneless chicken breasts
1/2 cup key lime juice
1/2 cup tequila
1 tbsp. orange zest
1/2 tsp. salt

Place chicken in a glass dish or a zip lock plastic bag. Combine other ingredients and pour over chicken. Refrigerate & marinate for 2 to 3 hours. Grill chicken while reserving the marinade. Baste occasionally until cooked. The remaining marinade can be used as a sauce if brought to a boil for about a minute and simmered for 5 minutes.

Honey Key Lime Chicken

1 1/2 oz. FLORIDA KEY WEST KEY LIME JUICE
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground hot red pepper
1 pound chicken pieces


Combine all ingredients and brush chicken. Bake at 450ofor 25-30 minutes. Turn and baste with pan juices every 10 minutes. Broil chicken 3-4 minutes or until browned. Serve with rice.

Genuine KFC secret recipe

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tbsp celery salt
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp dry mustard
4 tbsp paprika
2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp ground ginger
3 tbsp MSG (Accent)


Mix all ingredients well in a large bowl.
Dip chicken pieces in beaten eggs Then turn them over in regular bread crumbs (commercial) Finally plunge them in the flour-spices mixture (above)

Heat oven to 350 degrees
Place chicken in a tray and cover with foil (shiny side out) Cook 40 minutes.
Remove the foil then cook for another 40 minutes
Baste lightly with oil 5 minutes before the end
Let stand 5 minutes and serve.
